The art is just so good on that latest page. Spider-Man's waving hand, all of Nightcrawler's poses, Amanda's hand, the use of light and shadow in the final, explosive panel... Brilliant stuff.

If true, how very un-woke of him!

I dunno. Who could blame him? Especially after Mr. Byrne left, and it seemed that EVERYONE had a crush on Jean.

I have a lot of female friends, but I don't have a crush on them (well, most of them. :)

Those last two panels are a primer in how to draw sophisticated art. Not busy, not crammed, not complicated - but sophisticated. And obviously intended to be in black and white... adding color to this art would seriously degrade it, to me at least.

Hmm. Amanda is being attacked. And there was an attack in an earlier posting by Mr. Byrne of another woman being attacked in a rather famous mansion. I wonder if there's a link...

Nope. Amanda is collateral damage.

The last two day's pages have brought an even broader smile to my face.
Thank You once again!

I finally got my hands on the SPIDER-MAN MARVEL TEAM UP trade by JB and
Claremont, and was in the middle of MurderWorld/Captain Britain story when
Spidey appeared in ELSEWHEN - a cool coincidence!

I really like that Spidey and Arcade showed up in X-Men after JB drew them in
MTU, and it's always great to JB's Spider-Man.

You might be sick of all the thanks you are getting for this, but I must again
express how grateful I am for this story. It's coming at a perfect time for me as
I recently started a new job, which is never fun. This all reminds me of when I
was reading the original X-Men run as a kid - I was the new kid at school,
which happened frequently, but this time it was a move to the south. That was
a big culture shock coming from the northeast, and the X-Men really helped
me get through it.

This Spider-Man is perfection. The smirk in the mask and the style of the spider emblem work so well.

That closeup of Amanda has a George Perez feel.
