Logan's expression in the second panel is amazing.  Just fantastic detail.

So, I just broke my brain.  It's gone.  Leaked out of my ears.  I went back and re-read Elsewhen # 1 - 4 (so far) and then I read the current X-book on the racks, House of X #5.  My brain could not reconcile that the two books could exist in the same Multiverse and then my soul wept for the lost reality in which the brilliance of Elsewhen exists as "the way it should be".

Every panel of this particular issue is a masterpiece in storytelling:  the movement and expressions of the characters are superb!  This is definitely your best work!

Mr. Byrne, a quick question re: Logan's facial hair in Elsewhen.
In the past (your late run on Uncanny X-Men) you drew Logan's facial hair as being more trimmed - less wild.
This page (and the previous Elsewhen issues) shows it more bushy/longer (more in the Dave Cockrum style).
Any reason or just the way your drawing it 2019?
Thanks

Another masterfully rendered quiet moment, sir. (Hate to point it out,
but there’s a “typo” in panel three.)

You're breaking my heart... poor Jean... poor Scott... He looks like he has no clue what to really say to Jean... Yet he is holding her hand...

Thank the Heavens that page came out on a Thursday and NOT a Friday!  I would've had to have been sedated over the weekend waiting for what happens next

I'm also super super impressed at:
1. How perfect Scott is being drawn; from his "slimmer" build to his expressions that subtly show him maintaining all sorts of emotional control

2. How perfectly the issues title is applying to every plot and subplot shown

Now you're really breaking me heart... That's it. it's up to Logan then! LOL   I am wondering how Logan feels about this -he was pretty vocal before the surgery...

And, actually, I had thought of that possibility too (fits Scott's personality especially during the Phoenix saga and having no idea how to deal with Jean's changes), but the romantic in me is hoping for the former!  We gotta hope Scott is going to step up for Jean don't we?

Only you know for sure, and I'm sure we'll get to that in due course.

Mr Byrne — thoroughly enjoying seeing your Colossus again. Just the
right blend of athletic and mass. Not verging on Hulk and Thing
proportions. Costume details are a delight, too. Your portrayal also
reminds why he is a hero. Cheers!
