The line work. The varying line thicknesses and the varying textures all coming together in wonderful detail. The hatching. The shading. The composition.

The line work. The varying line thicknesses and the varying textures all coming together in wonderful detail. The hatching. The shading. The composition.•• It's always gratifying when readers take note of this kind of stuff. Over the years--okay, decades--of my career, I have come to the sad realization that many do not appreciate what goes into the production of the simplest of panels. Even a character floating in empty space has to be drawn--lines on the page, decisions made about pose and weight, angles and so on. Sure, pretty much all second nature by now, but still going on.

Amazing page.
Back when you were working on the book, did Shooter have a problem with splash pages? I seem to remember reading that somewhere — that he didn't like stories opening or closing with splash pages. I could be wrong.

As an artist myself, I had always appreciated the careful consideration of such factors, but I really started to notice your attention to them when you introduced JBNM.

As a slightly less accomplished comic and figure artist, I gotta say JB, the foreshortening on Colussus' lower half is on point. How ever long it would take me to do a similar pose, I no doubt would spend two-thirds of my time on that left leg alone. Inspiring work. Thanks for sharing.
