JB: Hurgh. Just learned that Jahf (as in Modt and...) is a robot. Strange that I didn’t realize that when I created the character.

Perhaps you could correct the error in Elsewhen?

I'm a little surprised you had not known until now, JB, that Mr. Claremont had written in X-MEN #108 itself that Jahf was a robot. My assumption was that artists would typically read what Marvel Method writers later added to their work.••• Slipped past me, or slipped from my memory, banished, perhaps, as yet another example of Chris scripting against my intent. (“Collaboration”. Right.)

"I also like that the teams still respect one another. That's been lost for quite a while."

You can thank/blame CC for that. The "outcast" status of the X-Men made for interesting stories , but at least for me it also had the effect of keeping me away from the "mainstream" titles like FF and AVENGERS*.
* Though I devoured ALPHA FLIGHT , since #1 sold to me as an X-Men spinoff of sorts, I actually didn't really read/buy JB's FF until the late 90s. Because of CC, the teams were not "cool" to me when I was younger.

I showed these pages to a comic book artist friend who has never seen this series. He’s a Byrne fan but not a follower of the Forum.
He...Was...STUNNED! Me too.
These penciled pages are just ridiculous.
