Another amazing page today. As a Nightcrawler fan, I'm feeling most satisfied. Kurt is never better than when our host draws him in action!

JB you are a master at anatomy. Something I HAD to tell you for years.
BTW I am invited to a local radio "pop culture" show hosted by a friend to talk about... (my (at first sight and everlasting) love for JB's career. I will use a large part of it on Elsewhen. The podcast will be available for french speakers.

Perhaps today's page is a lesson in vanity. Nightcrawler couldn't have victimized Archangel the way he did, if alt-Warren hadn't chosen a costume that showed off his great head of hair. (tee hee)

JB: "...Wasnt magic involved there?..."Me: "Yes, it was some crystal that allowed Wolverine to regenerate from a single cell. It seems later writers must have overlooked that part, as his healing power became more and more powerful over the years." JB: "Residual effects?" I don't think any other writer gave it such thought, but now that you mention it that is a good way to explain the later stories where he seemed to heal in seconds. Almost a last gasp of ol' fashioned Marvel serendipity, there. Random stuff that somehow comes together as if it was always meant to be. Mind you, I am loathe to even think about the madness that would be unleashed if some of these current writers got it into their heads there was something "magical" about Wolverine. Oy!

It seems that Logan could make a sorcerer supreme... although I see him going the Shaman route. Most anyone seems able to learn a little magic, and Wolverine is familiar with the wilderness and nature. A spell or two would be interesting.
However, there already IS a Shaman, and Logan using magic would be pretty damned out there. Too bad.
As for Alpha Flight... I'm sure that there might be a story or two that may show up in ELSEWHEN. Certainly Mr. Byrne never said this was entirely exclusive to the X-Men, and he's shown that readily. Boy, what I wouldn't give for a Marvel Team-Up: Spider-Man and Cyclops story. Maybe against Doc Ock, just because.

I like the way things stay balanced in ELSEWHEN. Cyclops's beams are incredibly powerful, and he can hit anything he looks at, so should (almost) never miss. However, he can still be surprised by a foe who suddenly lunges at him with a flaming sword.

Ugh. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, since they already had "Frankencastle" - which should have been a one-panel joke in that all-humor WHAT IF? issue...

Yep. He might die, escape from hell, and inexplicably return with hot claws.

Since he's my favorite X-Men member, I truly miss the Lee-Kirby days when he was the most powerful of the team, and one of the most powerful in all of Marvel too.
