Hm. I had forgotten about this bit. Her power still makes zero sense (as well as the fact that she has powers), but I don't get how it works: how can she remember the past lives before her powers kick in?

As for the puberty rule, I am all for early bloomers, but embryos is where I draw the line!! That's a step too far, imo.

But, let's get back to talking about this Elsewhen story and leave those other stories alone!!

It wasn't long after leaving the X-Men behind that I wished there was some other way the whole series could have stayed on course.

It was long after making that wish that I gave up on the possibility of John Byrne coming back to the X-Men someday or of anyone ever making the X-Men make sense to me again.

It was long after that when X-Men Hidden Years blew my mind and made me glad miracles could happen.

And it was long after that when X-Men Elsewhen came and granted my first wish.

There is room out there for all kinds of comic books. Thank dog there turned out to be room enough for John Byrne X-Men too.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I really loved X-Men Hidden Years and I was so sorry that Byrne wasn't even allowed to at least reach Hidden Years #23 a.k.a. "X-Men #93" and Giant-Size Hidden Years #1 (connecting with Giant-Size X-Men #1). And so we missed the opportunity of Mr.Byrne drawing again Cap America in the Hidden Years version of the Secret Empire story!

Once more, with feeling: it was not the intent at any time that XHY correspond exactly to the “missing” issues. I intended to end with the team racing off to Krakoa, but that could have been in a hundred issues!

I liked XHY a great deal--it kept the feel of that era while also doing its own thing (that is, it did a great job of feeling like an organic continuation of where X-MEN left off), and its cancellation was a frustrating mystery at the time. If anything from those days can be brought into Elsewhen, I'd love to see it.

I think we are entering a very eagerly awaited section of Elsewhen. I’ve been excited to see what JB’s arc for a Wolverine origin would look like and glad to finally see it arrive. This looks like great fun and I’m curious how Logan will behave when the dust settles. Love today’s page. Especially that last panel.

Great page. I like how you got around the
fact that people dream in real time.

What’s happening to Logan is not dreaming.

I love that Pablo is right there with Logan...and that Shaman allowed him to be there!

I love that when Shaman tells Xavier basically “no! Back off!”

Ashley and her mom are presently elsewhere, but they’ll be back. I’m still thinking (since the first issue!) that I need a better wrap on Avia’s story, down there in the Savage Land.
