There was an Adams/Kubert story in THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD. Batman and Sgt Rock. A WW2 story when it was just possible for Batman to have met Rock during the War.

Joe describe the few pages he inked as “like inking a ghost of myself”.

(In the early days, Neal described his two greatest influences as Joe and Mort Drucker!)

Quite interesting.  I had forgotten about that Brave and the Bold story.  The good old days when comics were fun.  There will never be another time like it.

It’s hard to imagine publishing a book called THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD without hoots of derision from some corners.

The young guys don't know what they were missing.  Your work was among the few who captured the feel of the old days, of the sheer fun, and innocence, of it all.

Hey, among living artists, who would be a good choice to ink that vintage Batman?

Frank would be the most obvious. Don’t know if I’d want to see that, tho.

Garcia-Lopez would be great.

Walt inking Hawkman would be wonderful.
