My 15th Anniversary "Ultimate Bishoujo" Invisible Woman
statue finally arrive yesterday, and got around to doing an
unboxing:
Will be a while before she actually can be displayed, but
thought to give everyone a look-see.

Many moons ago, back in the mid 90s, my brother in law made me a scratch
build Jabba the Hutt out of femo.
I took it to a convention & got the base signed.Over the years the femo
degraded so a couple of years ago he took it back to repair.
Turns out he pretty much did a complete rebuild of Jabba but it was only
this Christmas I got to visit & collect.Here is the rebuild with close ups of
the autographs.

Thanks. His house is filled with models - scratch built & commercial (many
of which required so much modification he may as well have scratch built
them anyway in my opinion).
Over the years we have spoken about him whether he should try to make a
living from his talent, but he has no desire to do so. I think it is a real shame,
but he is clearly happy with that decision.

My latest Star Wars acquisition, The Streets of Mos Eisley play set, a
precursor to the Cantina Haslab, that will arrive around Christmas.
I’ve peppered this with a few Tusken Raiders and Jawas, along with an older
Lanspeeder and a 3D printed Vaporator

A few months ago I pretty much woke up one morning and decided to start collecting Marvel Legends action figures. The slide into complete degeneracy didn't take long, and within hours of receiving my income tax return I found myself in circumstances for all intents and purpose identical to a drug addict, conducting a clandestine cash transaction in a strip mall parking lot for a HasLab Galactus, for the price of a quarter ounce of cocaine (or so Google sez). Worth it. (In the general scheme of these things, it was about as good a deal as I could have hoped for; I paid the original MSRP, which is about as inexpensive as they go for (although I don't think the people charging $1k are selling many units), and not paying tax or shipping saved me a good $100. I practically made money all things considered.)
Not that a middle aged man needs reasons to justify playing with dolls, but I particularly like how the figures are optimized to customize, with the swapable heads and stuff. In my youth, I loved customizing my Star Wars figures, which my parents hated because they thought I was just vandalizing expensive merchandise.
