 | Recently updated my site with several new pieces I got: The most special for me is this page from Fantastci Four 236 with Dr. Doom. A great read from back then and good memories. Amazing piece to own:
Also a page from the very first Fantastic Four story I read by JB, from issue 220. And two X-Men 133 pages with Mastermind vs Scott. Loved this scene. Mastermind had complete control over the situation at that time. Have a look at: http://www.ComicArtCollection.com Eelco |

Gorgeous piece Lloyd. I never thought about it previously, but I wonder if Newton was another influence of Alan Davis.

 | I've never thought about it either, Fred, but I could easily see Newton as an influence of Davis.  Isn't that Man-Bat fantastic! Eelco, that's a terrific page--I love that story! |

Hadn't learned to ink for reduction, yet! So much of that turned to mud!

Is there a good rule of thumb for inkers to follow on that sort of thing?  Also, is it really as much a concern today with different/better technologies available?

 | My first Fred Hembeck piece arrived yesterday:
I decided months ago that I wanted to get something from Hembeck.  I chose this cover because I think his Spider-Man covers are what he does best in general and this one really shows off his talents with a variety of characters...Spider-Man, Green Goblin, Hulk and the Enforcers!  I have another cover redo idea for Fred that I will almost certainly be getting in the near future. |
