Secrets Nehind the Comics: When I was working thru DarkHorse, and they were negotiating all kinds of deals with Twentieth Century Fox, I pitched two projects: "The Return of Derek Flint" and "Seaview". The latter was a 30-years-later series with a retooled sub with son of Captain Crane in command. I built a 3D model of the new sub that I planned to use extensively in the series, but, as with so much at DH, nothing ever came of it.

Sounds like they missed out on something that would have been good to see JB!

I remember getting this as kid:
It was the closest we ever came to a showdown between the Seaview and the Atragon (some of the interior art mirrored the international movie posters for Atragon as well)

I'm another big fan of the Seaview. I was disappointed and frustrated when Seaquest DSV came along and I couldn't even tell what the sub looked like. Any series dealing with life and adventure aboard a vessel should have a distinctive-looking vessel with a silhouette that any kid could draw from memory. Seaview. Millenium Falcon. Thunderbirds. Enterprise.Mike, that Seaview is gorgeous.
