Thanos - is it because he looks like a guy in a Batman suit instead of, you know, Batman? Like Routh looked like a guy in a Superman costume instead of Superman himself?

I see that similarity myself, if that's what's bugging you.

I agree, Brad.  That B&W Batman statue is very mundane.  It looks like a slightly out of shape dude in a somewhat ill-fitting Batman costume (in other words, an Alex Ross painting in 3D).  It doesn't look like BATMAN.

Agree on the "Batman" sculpt. Ordinary guy in ill-fitting homemade costume. Definitely NOT Batman!

Picked up an interesting Godzilla diorama figure today, sculpted by Yuji Sakai:

It depicts Godzilla's first appearance in the movie GODZILLA VS. THE THING.

(Not a great photo of it, since the actual colors are much better than shown here)

And it's also micro-sized!

Godzilla looks like fun!  Just need a button to push to get the Godzilla scream!

Awesome, I'd like it even more if he had legs.

Well, in the past, Bandai has released many full-body Godzilla mini-dioramas (also sculpted by Sakai-san) as random "trading figures":

But for this series, they wanted to do something different:
