Gal - Several of the DAN DARE pieces I've picked up recently were from stories that predated my introduction to the character. With pieces like these, it's the astonishing quality of the artwork that compels me to open my wallet, not a specific personal connection. In the case of the "Platinum Planet" piece, however, altho I very much admired the artists (Don Harley and Bruce Cornwell), for the amount of money being asked I'd simply prefer a "better" page.

The art is beautiful on that Dan Dare page -- and the colouring too. The colouring is beautiful in its own right, but perfectly complements the art.

It always seems like incredibly high praise when JB calls something 'NICE'!

I've been a fan of Stuart Immonen since his LEGION and ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN days. His art on ALL-NEW X-MEN looks fantastic but I can't bring myself to actually read it.
