Thank you very much for the separate thread with just the artwork, JB.

Yer welcome.

I'll continue to post new pages here, for comment, as long as my head of steam holds up.

Then those pages will also go into the art-only thread.

sigh

xavierfiles

Seriously, would it be too much trouble to identify the JBF as the source of this art, and not the completely unaffiliated "JohnByrneDraws"?

Guy sure takes his own sweet time telling his readers this is not an official project, too.

A source from a source from a ...

The Tumblr account probably saw it first on the unofficial Facebook Page...

No wonder people lose facts on the internet.

He claimed he couldn't navigate the forum. Who can't navigate a message board? Are you 80 years old and just discovering the internet? Anyway, this thread is the best thread on the forum all year. I'm loving these X-Men pages.

Beautiful pencils, JB. Waves, overpowering waves of nostalgia keep hitting me. Just add inks by the Terry Austin of the 1980s and I'll literally de-age (OK not literally).

The real feeling I get isn't so much "Oh my god it's John Byrne drawing the X-Men!" as "Oh my god it's MARVEL COMICS!!" This says something, I think.

Marvel will always be home but, you know, they paved paradise, put up a parking lot...

Newsarama has picked up on this as well -  https://www.newsarama.com/40823-john-byrne-returns-to-the-x- men-in-alt-history-elsewhen-run.html

Points for quoting that other Canadian. JB -- favorite Joni LP? Just curious.

In his responses that guy from Xavierfiles is kind of a douche. And Newsarama is as inaccurate in their reporting as every internet amateur.

However, it is gratifying they know JB is a giant.

I predict Marvel will call soon.
Either with an offer or a cease-and-desist!

Wouldn't it be nice if whatever has gone before, someone in a position of
power at Marvel who loves and respects the characters there, and recognizes
what a mindful caretaker John Byrne has been of every one he has
written over the years, would reach out and do what needs to be done to bring
this series home?
