Won't have enough votes to override the term limits amendment, and SCOTUS can't let him run without proving they're corrupt.

The irony here is that it was the Republicans who pushed thru the two term limit. They didn’t want Truman turning into another Roosevelt. But all they really accomplished was blocking Eisenhower from a third term.

Since it's being April 1st today I was hoping to read a headline saying:
"Trump has Constitutional Crisis, his bowels just dropped right the fuck out"

Still trying to brace myself for a return to the '30s...

It's just red meat to throw at the media so they can get ratings and focus on things most people can understand and about which they can get in an uproar. You'd think after ten years they would figure out his m.o. by now.
I've said it before, he's not a complete idiot.

@Mark: I think he knows he's better served when the media is focused on nonsense like this rather than doing the harder, less sensational work of in-depth journalism calling him to task on issues that actually affect people's lives. He plays the 24 hour news cycle like a fiddle, and more often than not they are only too happy to gobble it all up.
Did anyone really think that he thought President Obama wasn't born in the U.S.? That went on for months.
