You can flick through and look at the first 55 figures…

***

Quite a few of those I'd love to add to my collection. Of course, as is only to be expected these days, quite a few that stretch the word "classic" to the breaking point.

I suppose I shall have to go prowl eBay.

JB, if you ever in Ireland, my local comic shop has ALL the back issues and figurines including the specials

Are they hard to find or can you still get them all?

They've been popping up at Midtown Comics in Manhattan. I got both the Angel and Iceman there a few weeks ago, and they had the Thing and Blade available just this afternoon. Their website currently lists Doctor Octopus, the Silver Surfer and the Green Goblin as available for order, with a load more listed as Expected.

Anyone up for a game?

To date, I have acquired 15 of these figures: Spider-Man, Wolverine, the Thing, the Silver Surfer, Captain America, Phoenix, Iron Man, Daredevil, Thor, the Beast, the Human Torch, Captain Britain, Cyclops, the Angel, and Iceman.

Each figure comes with an illustrated magazine that explains the history of the character, major milestones, allies, enemies, etc. Of the 15 figures I have collected, 12 have magazines that contain at least one illustration from John Byrne. Can you guess which 3 do NOT feature Byrne art?

On the same note, can you guess which 2 do not feature any art by Jack Kirby?

I have all of these figures apart from the variant Angel and Phoenix figures. for the most part I am very happy with them but just like Marvel Legends some of the size differences between figures can be a bit jarring. Venom for instance is rather small and Dr Strange seems rather big.
