The wasp...
So does she have the wandering eye like so many others have stated about this bust?

Don Bohm:  Love the Iron Man mini statues from Bowen. I wanted the Full Size ones, but they are rare and expensive!

I bought one at a convention and the other on Ebay about two years ago.  Got them both for what I considered reasonable prices.  I don't seem them online as much as I used to, but I still see them for around $175 now and then.

The only thing I don't like about them is the gold coloring.  It's too dark and doesn't look like how I'd imagine Iron Man's armor to be colored.

I agree on the gold, be cool if it were gold chrome, but I usually see the Classic version, ( on the right) to be over $200 if I can even find it. The Silver Age ( left) is more readily avalible it seems, for abround the $175 you mentioned. And then theres the Classic bust.... sheesh!

An inherent problem with gold. Despite being called the "yellow metal", and being thus coloring in every comicbook since the Dawn of Time, gold is really a shade of brown, leaning to ochre. It just doesn't look right when characters we are used to seeing colored yellow turn up in their "accurate" colors.

I discovered this myself, when I was about 14, and I made a model out of clay of the original Iron Man armor, and painted it dutifully with gold paint (just as had Tony Stark in the issue I had just picked up). Didn't look right, but I was too anal even then to even think about painting it yellow.

"The Yellow Avenger" wouldn't quite have the same ring, would it?

I just think "gold chrome" , thats how I see Iron Man's armor. And I "see" his red sections as red anodized.

I use Brass paint to simulate the yellow gold look.

bend Spider-Man and Nightcrawler into more appropriate poses

******

The black costumed one's pose is far more appropriate.

There is also a free Spider-man figurine you get when you subscribe that is on a rooftop with a traditional pose.

Can I request this thread as a sticky?

It would be perfect for discussing our action figures, model kits, Bowen figures, electronics, extra.

Or even its own location like movies and TV.

appropriately.

My Bowen full-size classic Avengers statues. I regret not
picking up the Scarlet Witch, but can't wait to add furry Beast.

Marvel Legends Avengers action figures.
