When various current artists decided they are so much better at showing us what a uniform designed in the 1940s would look like than, say, the artist who actually created the design in the 1940s.

---

I never even thought about it like that, but it's so entirely heartbreakingly true!

Saying something of that era wouldn't look like that, it would look different is not only conceptually false because we're dealing with fictional superheroes, it's FACTUALLY false. He WAS created in that era! He looks exactly like a superhero created during WW2 because he WAS created during WW2!

Talk about people truly not getting it!

We also got to see the painted Domino mini bust today. Since I very much doubt that John wants anything dreamt up by Rob Leifeld here, I'll leave it to those interested to check out this thread...

Finally, if anyone is interested in seeing a dizzying amount of Comic Con pics by our members, you can click here...

Thanks folks! I'm glad to be able to share my passion with folks like you and it's really cool that I guy who was my "Jack Kirby" & "Stan Lee" all rolled into one enjoys the same dorky obsession as the rest of us. There's nothing better than a comic book artist that actually likes comics and the characters in them. :)

That Hercules looks fantastic! Great sculpt! However I'm not a fan so I'll be passing on that, ditto the Valkyrie and Jocasta...  I'm still giddy about the new Iron Man. I finally got the original classic Bowen Iron Man mini Bust. Awesome piece!

Unfortunately, Marvel seems to have lost all contact with history -- their own, and the real world's -- long ago.
