Yeah, Lex is compensating.

In several cases, with both the DC and Marvel figurines, I wish they'd do two
versions of the same character. I think a "business-attired Luthor" is as
important as an "armored Luthor"--and just as current. Good heavens, if
they can justify the "white variant" of Captain Marvel, they can do two
Luthors.

Armored Luthor doesn't make sense--he should be too smart to fight Superman directly.

Business Suit Luthor was never visually exciting enough for me.

I preferred the worksuit version they had for JLU--practical, but not about trying to match Superman's strength.

I think the only time I've him in those was in Crisis on Infinite Earths--and that was the Earth 2 one who got fried by Brainiac.

He had hair, too, right?

First decent photo of Scarecrow we've seen.  Martian Manhunter and Raven photos are out there, but not very good quality pics.  I'll wait until we have something clearer to drool over.

With thanks to Martian Manhunter on the figurine forum (the member, not the figurine)

Contrasting the Luthor figure (above) to the Scarecrow and Banshee "pre-
release" pictures, I can't help but feel there is a whole lot of Photoshopping
going on in these publicity shots!

Without a doubt, there's more to the pre-release photos than one guy/gal with a few jars of paint and brushes.  On my best day, I could never come close to Banshee, either in texture, shading or detail.
