Loved the She-Hulk GN so when this went up at Jim W's site....

Not to hi-jack this thread for yet another discussion of time in comics, but it is significant to note, I think, that in the pre-InterNet age in which the She-Hulk graphic novel was published, there was no so much as a whisper of complaint when I established Bruce Banner as a young boy at the time "one of the last" above ground nuclear tests was made.

I don't think that's a "splash" page...

A full pager is a splash, but a splash is not always a full pager. The first page of a story is traditionally the splash, but it can be, as here, a multi-panel splash. (A "multi-panel splash" done as an interior page would be…just a reg'lar page!)

I have to say Kim DeMulder did a fine job inking you on the She-Hulk graphic novel, JB.  The Gamma bomb explosion in the top panel of the page posted above is of particular awesomeness.

Did you ever work with Kim on anything else?

Another note about the She-Hulk page is that in the book the credits at the top are left out. And John, thanks for the background on the page.

Reason for the missing credits: the story was originally planned as a miniseries, but Shooter decided Marvel needed more graphic novels, so She-Hulk got "promoted". I had already started work on the mini, but I was able to tweak it a bit and end up with a properly formatted GN, rather than something that felt recycled. GNs didn't have credits on the splach page (they were "real books" ya know!), so the credits were masked, but not removed, from the original.

Thanks.  I love it but gave it to my dad for the holidays!  He saw it the day it arrived and fell in love with it.  I didn't bother to warp it.
