I would argue that it would be cyclical -- right now there is almost a "baby boomer" phenomenon in the comic biz - a lot of 30+ fans with a lot of disposable income wanting to indulge their inner child and buy fancier comic-related stuff (pages, etc) - children from the 70s.   I think there will be fans from the 90s who will come into money in about 10 years time and start the buying again.  What is considered by them to be worth buying might be different (probably Image and Valiant pages that don't have as much value today).  Then it will start again as the comic companies make their big pushes into the market every 10 years or so to capture new fans.

I would tend to think a lot of these high-end pages will flatten in price -- still be worth a ton of money, but not appreciate as much.  Kirby on the FF will always be Kirby on the FF.

Lookiing at that X-Men piece -- it was drawn in 1980 -- I don't remember ICEMAN ever being in the Byrne/Austin/Claremont line-up.

MR BYRNE -- were there plans for Iceman to rejoin?

Nope. The lineup for that piece was chosen by editorial.

The original art of Alpha Flight #1 was also traded by Albert Moy.

John, your official art dealer is Jim Warden, isn't it? Although Mitch Itkowitz
from Graphic Collectibles also handled your art from Blood of the Demon,
didn't he?

I say this to let everybody know that everything that don't came from both
sources has nothing to do with you, and it traded hands before.

I found a couple of things that may be of interest while tidying my studio.

JB, the Hulk as shown on Amazing Heroes #76 cover is the way you intended him to become once reunited to Banner?

That Superman sketch (in the newspaper) has a reall Walt Simonson vibe to it -- the inking.   I don't see a lot of Byrne in it.

Can I ask someone who is this Albert Moy character...?

He seems to own a lot of pieces and he paid $18,000 for that incredible Byrne splash (page 1) from x-men 108 or something....

Is he a part of this community...?

Sorry....my ignorance is annoying!
