Lars, this question is in regards to your 12/17 post with the FF figures.
Which cartoon line is the Thing from? He looks a little small for the Marvel
Action Hour line; they were 5.5" tall. Was there another line in the 90s?
Thanks.

Holy Crap, Dave! I'm SO sorry, but I simply did NOT see
that this thread had a new post until just NOW.
Apologies for having you 'wait'.
I believe the Thing figure IS from the Action Hour line,
mainly because I assume that it was the only animated FF
from that time. (I could be wrong tho')
I picked up this figure loose from a toy shop downtown,
so I'm not certain what the packaging would have been labeled as.

When I was heavy into customizing I picked up alot of loose figs from various local ToyShows as well.
The only alteration I did for the Thing was painting the
belt (traditional) black.
I liked the look of the rocks on him because they were
widely spaced and really captured an animated style.
Sorry I couldn't be more of a (punctual) help.

No apologies necessary. You were the one doing me a favor by answering.
Thing in disguise. I had not remembered that version for the action hour.
Thank you very much!

Justice League Unlimited looks good. And the Thing (undercover disguise) looks really good too.

These aren't really customized. They're totally homemade. But I figure this was the most apprpopriate place for them and I wanted to show them off:

This is NOT my custom but I frequent the Mego board and since it's JB related...
It's a pretty well done figure but I'm not sure why they strayed from the source art if they were inspired by JB's version(used on the box)?

As much as I admire Mego customs, all I can see when I look at that picture above is Darkseid in a dress.

Yeah, that person is a good custom-izer based on the many other customs they've done but this one misses the mark. Which is all the more confusing by the box that was created since they had the perfect reference right there.
