Very expressive Joe.  Great foreshortening of Herc's left arm and its shading.

Maybe consider varying line-weight, to accent the lighting?

My favorite part is the trunks. I have so many horrible attempts with the
trunks just WRONG looking. These I can live with!!!

You most likely do what I do I, and short change characters' their abdomen below the navel.

On Pete Beard's YouTube channel for Unsung Heroes of Illustration, I saw a Paul Rieth (early 20th century German illustrator) print that inspired this quick homage.  I liked the pose (and the army boots).  His generation sure knew the horrors of war.
