Thanks….I’m pretty sure it’s been over 40 years since I drew the first Birthday pic for Morty. Friends till the end.

Thought maybe it's time to weigh-in on this thread. Inspired by the great art in this thread!
Both sketches are kind of in the rough stage. The first one is a character from Tardigrade Comics, Fleet Fox. I drew it as part of a drawing contest a while back but never got around to inking it, nor submitting it. The second one is Emma Frost, the White Queen. Never got around to inking this either. Hope you like! Sorry if the scans are poor...my pencil lines tend to be kind of light. Thanks for indulging me!

Joe I think it's great you are tackling some challenging perspectives. Too many "frontal poses" out there.
I'm still trying to crack the face nut.

Here's some random crazy sketching with a dip-pen (mapping nib). I am trying to improve at how contour-hatching the half-tones can add the illusion of surface texture and detail to a drawing

Here's one (hopefully) in the style of John Tenniel's Alice in Wonderland.
Dip pen and mapping nib (again)

That is Excellent, Steven! I love John Tenniel's work and you've certainly done it justice!

Experimenting with textures with a ball point pen. Used a stock image for this.
