Thanks, Matt! One of the things I love about inking JB's work is being forced to study some of the little nuances in the art that I really don't notice initially.

I totally agree with you Paul.  I learned so much inking his pages recently... I really took notice of both the good things he does and, I was forced to see flaws I haven't noticed before I sat down to ink the pages.

I heard an interview with JB where he said all he sees are his flaws in his artwork and I laughed at that notion.  After inking a few pages, I found some flaws in his work... but they are not that apparent until you're really, really, REALLY looking closely for them.

Paul, that last page is my favourite of the 3 you posted recently.  The inks and the scans seem much cleaner and crisper than the previous 2.

Good job!!!

Thanks Shane! I made an effort to make it as clean as possible. Including the copy!

Thanks Rebecca! I want to keep pushing myself to do better. I have another page waiting on my table to ink.

I decided to download and ink page 12 of the current issue and, seeing it full size on paper, just noticed JB's wonderful nuance that Magneto's helmet truly is two different metals and the decorative band wraps around the headpiece proper. Seeing little details like that just add to the fun and to my awe of our host's talent.

Looks good Eric!  Loving the texture on Nightcrawlers fur.

To save time, I made a pencil copy page from my laser printer instead of taking it to a print shop.
Here's my tip of the day: Don't use a copy from a laser printer to ink! Inking over toner is not so great (plus the smudges...oh the smudges). Anyway, I carried on and here is the result

This page was a lot of fun! Kudos once again to our host! I tried to use mostly brush nibs on this except for the tech stuff. I'm pretty pleased with the results for once, but I swear I must be the only person in the world that can screw up straight lines even using a ruler!
