I speak with Americans pretty much every day of the week in my day job. It's easy for me to think that the intelligent people I converse with on the JBF forum are representative of most people in the USA.

Bottom line, I just can't believe the level of his support across the pond.

"I’m fucking sick and tired of people telling me I deserve Trump. Fuck off."

Phil: You truly deserve everything you now get and thanks for screwing up the world while your Union implodes. Idiots.

Thanks, Phil. How great it must feel to live on a continent which has never been touched by the disease of fascism. Lucky you.

Angry as you sound, I hope we can count on your best wishes as we struggle through this little pit of Hell we've driven into.

Trump could end up occupying the White House for the full twenty years he has claimed to be entitled, and it would still be less than what the United States deserves just for invading Iraq.

Looking on the bright side...

Although it's hard to imagine Trump's presidency could somehow be more farcical than his first term.

Phil, save the vitriol for a group of Trump supporters.

It’s almost like reading a post from Solomon himself.

It sure is hard to see how Trump got elected when clear thinking and
measured reasoning are in such endless supply everywhere we look.

I mean, except for that time when every man woman and child in the U.S.
invaded Iraq. That was weird.

Well, I guess a number of questions will be answered over the next four
years.
How important are vaccines
Does fluoride really bring benefits
If Russia is given Ukraine, will they be emboldened & carry on
Are government departments really important
Etc

& the answer to all of these is yes, absolutely yes.
The health, education, defence will all suffer mightily during this period.
I really feel for the kids whose education was stunted during covid who will
now lose a department of education & be taught idiocy.

I don’t understand why so many are raving about Trumf’s “comeback”.

He lost by only a narrow margin in 2020, and he didn’t exactly fade into the background thereafter.

I was only a tiny tot when Nixon had his comeback, but he definitely seemed politically dead compared to Trump these past four years. Was Trump ever out of the game? He remained such a player that he even reached in out of office and changed the course of the country in bigly ways, e.g., kiboshing any bipartisan legislation on the border.

Re: comeback.  I believe his reelection referred to as a comeback because he was convicted of various charges, facing more, survived at least two assassination attempts, etc.

More and more I wish Biden had resigned, elevating Harris.

If for no other reason than to screw up Trumf’s merch.
