That tweet proves my earlier point.
This is all a scam to make money.
He even said a few days ago that people will make so much money from
this.
And he has now done this multiple times
It’s Lucy and the football.
And as Brian points out, he can’t be prosecuted. He’s fleecing everyone,
ruining lives, making billions, destroying relations with allies, all in public
view, and can’t be touched.
Remember that making money on stocks isn’t about ultimate value - it’s
about relative value. It doesn’t matter that the value today is still less than
before - it’s the scale of the one day move.
And he’s bragging that the scale is the biggest ever - because that what
has earned his mates their billions.

Stocks falling again, I assume as his mates are now selling the stocks they
bought I the interim between his tweet and him dropping the tariffs.

Trump is, of course, an aberration in so many ways, but the truth of the GOP and the conservative media has remained remarkably unchanged for decades: successfully finding ways to get the white working class to vote for the masters of the corporate class. They're abetted in this by the equal inability of the Democrats to win that bloc back.
It's going to be a rough decade for the middle class. Which sucks extra hard because it's already been a rough five years.

Trump plays the media, and people, like a fiddle. After all this time of his wild statements I am not sure why anyone takes them seriously. Look at how he attacked the North Korean leader during his first term only to visit him and late exchange letters with him. When he called himself the Chosen One I laughed and realized he was playing us - again.

Brennan, I don’t perceive him as playing anything like a fiddle. The man is a
one trick pony and everyone has simply grown to accept or react to
everything he does. There is no mastery at play, from this man. He has
acted this way for decades. The only difference is that previously, the
general public saw him as a bit of a joke.
