If I had to guess, it’s to pave the way for overturning the 2026 midterms. Among many, many other things. Authoritarians always destroy courts, and higher education, and any other institutions they see as impediments to their control. It’s just the playbook, and they’re following it closely.

That’s a good point Dave. I’ve been wondering why he’s started to up the heat on the 2020 elections again, especially in his bizarre tirade against the war yesterday, and now wonder if it could be a pre-emotive against losing some of the mid-terms.
If he doesn’t do as well as he would like, does he declare those were rigged, tries to null and void them, and come the 2028 elections, refuse to hold them.
