Thank for saying “long” and not “always”.

Thanks for the link and I followed it down the rabbit hole and learned I'm one degree from Jamie Lee Curtis.

Let's see...

My mother dated Howard Hughes (every night for a week, and they tried to keep it going for a month or so, but he was too busy and she was too young to put up with it).

My father worked on set (painting) for the shows STAR TREK, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, and HERE'S LUCY, and had some personal stories to tell about Nimoy, Shatner, and Lucille Ball.

He said he lied to Patton (neglected to salute, then gave a false name when the General called him on it).

I went to a school in Hollywood, with Tatum O'Neal and Todd Bridges in my class (at different times), and passing older people like four of the Brady Bunch kids, Melanie Griffith, and Val Kilmer in the halls.

Living in Hollywood the first half century of my life, I would run into celebrities in various places--some were nice encounters (Angelina Jolie smiled at me when I recognized her--just as the elevator doors were closing), some were awkward (Garry Shandling on Melrose), and some were at least a little hostile (Alan Thicke at Universal Citywalk).  A lot were "Oh, look--it's so and so."

And then there's things like Comic-Con or other cons where I had pleasant moments with people like Rosario Dawson, Weird Al, Miguel Ferrer, Sybil Danning, and, best of all, Neal Adams!

Life is funny, and sometimes it's because you were just standing or walking in the right place at the right time.

Remembering again my friend Sue who was seated next to Henry Kissinger at some swanky dinner. Her (now ex) husband was one of his financial advisors.

That opens a couple of doors………

I was taught by Telford Taylor, first a prosecutor and then appointed chief counsel at the Nuremberg Trials. One step away from Hermann Göring and Rudolf Hess, et al. human dreck.

I sat next to and conversed with Walter Koenig at dinner during a convention in Gettysburg back in the 90's.
