This thread has depressed the crap out of me. I had been holding out hope that I would one day launch myself back into Marvel comics and this thread reminds me that that will never happen.

Is there a Wolvie-mite or Snikkto the Wolvie-dog yet?

Oh I guess we can now blame MODOK for all these Hulk problems.  Those crazy A.I.M. guys!

Is there some way we could corral all the Wolver-clan into a giant vat of super-heavy-duty-mystical acid, being careful not to leave even one atom alive for regeneration?

Well, the original is still salvageable.

Yeah then they can wipe the originals memory again.  Plus make the Origins mini an alternate version of what could have happened.  Get the character back to what made him great......the mystery!

So, yesterday I finished reading those Claremont-Davis X-Men. Turns out
X-23 is BETTER than Wolverine at what he does best!

That Claremont!

Although I have always been a much bigger DC than Marvel fan, their tendency to de-unique their characters has never appealed to me.  Superboy, Supergirl, Batgirl, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, Aqualad, etc -- if I had my druthers, they'd all cease to exist*.  It's a pity to see Marvel travel down that path with so little originality; in the past, even when a derivative character was created (Spider-Woman, She-Hulk) they managed to be individual.

*Hypocrisy alert -- I prefer Hawkgirl to Hawkman.
