Howard Mackie just sent an image of me at my drawing board, holding a copy of JOHN BYRNE - INDOMITABLE GENIUS. He wanted to know if it was legit. It isn’t, though it is quite well done. The big clue is that it shows me more or less as I am now, but still wearing my wedding ring.

Yanick Paquette posted that image on Facebook as a screencap from an instagram account purporting to be yours, and expressed disappointment that the fake you fakely condoned fake art. It’s making the rounds this morning, I guess.
Edit: ah, I see that Howard Mackie debunked it on that same post.

A little scary that anyone can create such a likeness in whatever environment they choose.Consequently, if you do send out a real pic, some people will question if it's real!

I’m flattered that time was taken to create the book, but I am afraid I cannot endorse it. I have seen it only in Spanish, and was therefore unable to check its veracity. If this AI piece is being used to promote the book, it could generate problems.

He has now gotten an English version of the book printed and that image is what he is using to see if people are interessted in buying it. He asks they PM him directly.
The post was taken down once word got around about it being AI.

************ I saw half a dozen different teaser trailers for Avengers Doomsday last week on the web, with only one being real.

People keep sending me A.I. generated clips related to
things they know i have an interest in, they're often well
done, but i really find them tiresome. Regarding the simple
mistake of J.B.'s wedding ring. I saw an A.I. generated
cartoon image of Rush's star man logo, the Santa facing the
pentagram had his belt on backwards, so the buckle was
above his ass.
