Hey Mr. Byrne, Jason here!
I was reading Batman & Captain America (great book!), and I came across a page where Batman as Bruce Wayne said that Steve "seems almost to have a slight edge". Does that slight edge refer to Steve's Super-Soldier-Serum-enhanced physique ? or does that slight edge refer to Steve's superior fighting skills ?
Thanks in advance!

John,Did you or do you train any martial arts?
To clarify, I use "martial" to include any and all military, combat, empty hands, weapons, tactics and strategy.

I have lots of experience.
Being a wuss does not disqualify you or anyone.
Almost any training can be divided into 3 aspects, the physical, the mental and the spirit (the living essence).
My take on Captain America (of so long ago), who is physically perfect due to the super-soldier serum, would be training exclusively on the mental aspects. He would require minimum time to employ proper techniques.
Got to go, more later.

The brutal honesty almost made me laugh out loud. Thanks for the chuckle, JB.

To Mr. Byrne,
"Yes" as in yes to the former ? or "Yes" as in yes to the latter ?
Cheers!

Captain America seem to represent a higher ideal, like Superman, and though this is just me, and I know that, but in my mind, he has an edge over Batman by virtue of being a more motivated soldier than Batman. When you think of it, Cap is an amazing creature, more like Thor as a warrior/soldier, created by the biggest war man ever fought. He is mythological in scope, and human modesty in presentation.

I dunno who said it first but I agree with this comment: "A Jack Kirby super-soldier beats a Bob Kane crimefighter any day."

Even if Batman trained himself to the absolute peak of human perfection, doesn't the super solder serum take Cap beyond that?JB, in your mind, how strong is Captain America in relation to non-enhanced people?
