I have to agree with Charles as Storm looks clumsily drawn."
Ouch. Bear in mind that this is 11x17. I find that the 20x30 commissions almost always look better, perhaps because those are closer to the size that JB works in professionally?

I just like seeing Ororo back in her outfit. That had to be one of the best outfits ever created.

Well, opinions being like @$$#%?$, everyone has 'em, MY opinion is, if a flying woman etered My apartment, she'd be twistin' the night away trying to make manuevering room. The piece emits a mood of the original era. AND, I could always tell Dave re-did those panels/faces. Now, that was sloppy.

I have to agree with Charles as Storm looks clumsily drawn. Other than that, the piece looks fairly good with some anatomical inaccuracies. Oh well, for those with money to Byrne....
------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------
And Ironfist looks a little weird too - as he did in a previous comission - almost as if we are looking down on him but none of the others - indeed we are looking straight across the room at Jean and Scott...
Odd - because JB used to do my favourite version of Ironfist..!

WTF? Why even bother to add to your post count with this crap? John is nice enough to share these drawings with us - and his time here as well, and this is the thanks he gets? I have no problem with folks who want to disagree with JB or any of us on comics, politics, religion, or whatever but something always rubs me the wrong way when he posts artwork and some smartass starts to pick it apart. That's just rude to me. Let's see some of your artwork, James.

Luca, how do you get the feeling that we're "looking down" on Iron Fist when he's in full profile? You don't see the top of his head, nor an angle that would suggest what you're seeing. The way JB has drawn the figure doesn't look at all to me like we're looking down on him. He looks in proportion, relative to the other characters, exactly like he'd look.

I like the commission and the Storm piece Charles posted. I had never seen that before today.

I love this piece and I am not even an X-Men fan!!! John is one of only a few artists whose work I like so much, that I even enjoy seeing his renditions of characaters that I have no love for whatsoever

That's one reason why I never bought that rumor. I couldn't see why you would refuse to draw it on one book, but not another.

Oh, man, that would've been so sweet!
