Great tips John!!!!!
these paints you can find for around 79 cents
Buy yourself good brushes, and do not use hot water to clean them.
Glue I use E6000 you get that at hobby stores.

Thanks Jodi -- Folk Art and Apple Barrel are the two brands of paint I use, too!
Additional helpful tip: My wife always puts a dab of paint from the bottle on the lid -- that way you always have a handy reference to see exactly what the color looks like when the paint is dry. VERY helpful when trying to choose from several different shades of red or blue, for example.
EDITED TO ADD: You forgot the Sharpie, Jodi! ;-)

And a few more:
The Amazo figure started out as a Bruce Wayne figure from The Batman toy line -- slightly larger than the JLU scale, but it works great as a "big" figure like Amazo.
These were featured in CustomCon 13 a couple of years ago:

Okay, it's as done as I can get it for now-- unfortunately, the white slits of
Batman's eyes are pretty small, and some black paint got in there. I figure
after the black dries, I'll get some white enamel and correct this. Hope this
looks good!

Alright-- mission accomplished! Not quite as good as the pics from DC
Direct, but as close as I'll get for now...
EDITED TO ADD:
Here's a closer look at the job I did. So shiny.

Anthony great job!
Testors enamel model airplane paint
I found this paint hard to work with, it took forever to dry and always seemed to be sticky, do you have the same problem?
I just saw the Black Canary Barbie and I thought I would post this, it's a custom I did because a person wanted a Barbie Lita from the pro wrestling league former WWF.

I challenge the customizers on this thread to use these for your media:

Justice League Ponies have already been done, however.
