I'm sure someone has asked this before...but it didn't come up in a search of the forum...

I understand there were two printings...

A goofed-up edition with pages out of order published in June 1982...

And a corrected edition published in July 1982...

Is this correct? Are there two printings? Did they have different months in the publishing history?

Can you tell me what was out of order? Was it the pages in the story "Withering Heights?

Can anybody point me in the direction of someone with the defective copy for sale?

TIA for any help.

Yes, there was two printings, and the first was a goofed-up version. I used to own the first printing. I do believe the goofed pages were in the "Withering Heights" story, but I can't recall for sure.

I'm not sure about how many months later the corrected version was published.

I've got the defective version, but it's got a publishing date of July 1982.

Cheers, Jon

Huh, this is news to me. I was selling this on eBay recently, and someone asked me if it was first or second printing. I said it had no printing info inside, so it must be first printing. I was right, but I didn't know why I was right. Does the fixed version say it's a second printing? Mine is defective (Withering Heights), published in July 1982, so that is the first print.

As published in this edition, Page 19 is the first page of Withering Heights, then the last page (25 as printed) should follow next, then page 20, 21 next, 24 next, 22 next, and 23 is the last page.

That was my daughter who was asking! She was looking for a copy of the second  (corrected) printing for me. :) Both of my copies are the first printing with the error.

Hmmm...so that means they both may have the same date information...

So, which one is more "rare"? Sounds like everyone has the defective version.
