And, yes, I know the new images are slightly smaller.

I'm hearing Bill Woodson narrating that bridging caption.

Had to look him up--and in doing so learned it WASN'T William Conrad narrating THE INVADERS all those years ago!

And now I've made myself sad, remembering a Marvel where such showmanship was part of the game, and not something to raise the ire of ennui-engorged "fans".

Getting to see the impulsive nature of Wolverine adds an extra plate (or two) for Scott's team-management juggling act.

Not sure it is a thing but Storm reads as acutely capable, throwing in a plate of her own!. Scott must feel her there in the wings, like one mistake and everyone turns to her for leadership.

Given the time since you last handled these characters, it is an impressive piece of plotting/writing/handling as the characters feel very distinct from one another, with the view that they aren't blindly following the writers' agenda and singing from some homogeneous editor-approved-song-sheet but that they very much believe they are the centre of their own stories.

Great Job!

Tremendous art, and from some of the preview pages you posted, I knew who it was / who they were. Very lovely follow up!

The images of pseudo-Cyclops and pseudo-Wolverine remind me of the images  you drew of Storm's nightmare vision of them when Sauron took over her mind in the Savage Land. I don't know if it's intentional... but it's beautiful.

It will be interesting to see how the X-Men stories continue with Cyclops, and not Storm, being the leader! So it's already another big change respect the "normal" continuity. So we could have most of the "normal" stories happens with different outcomes because of Cyclops' presence and leadership and with no Storm developing/using her leadership skills.

I really dig the new page. JB is among the best when it comes to balancing super-powered action and moments like this one.
