This is one of the reasons the Internet is inferior to the old fashioned printed letter columns. In those days, the editor would likely have chosen not to print your question, sparing you the “oops”.

I can imagine the Xavier mansion was "that scary old haunted house" in Salem Center."C'mon, Joey, all the cool kids spent a night in the old Xavier place. You don't wanna be a wuss, do ya? Hey... I heard the guy who lived there might'a been one of those... mutants." (gasp of horror from Joey) "...no."

The sense of mystery (portrayed so well here) in comics has been missing for quite some time. Now it seems comics has to be about non-stop posing and action shots!

I keep loving all the detail that goes into these pages. The mansion looks great. I also like little touches like Storm's pose in the doorway, and how her figure is lit.

I'm the weirdo that wants to have a look through the 'old' books on the shelves. :^)

I love that third panel. Storm's pose, the interplay of light and shadow, the textures, the puddle, the cobwebs...wonderfully evocative.

Really enjoying this journey into mystery. The Xavier mansion has taken more of a licking than even Wolverine in this series!

Imagining the feeling of going to the house you spent your teen years in and finding it abandoned and falling apart. That is what I'm doing in my mind while reading this - wouldn't be a good feeling at all. Should be interesting to see how each character reacts as this story unfolds. I've wandered through a few old buildings that were falling apart (probably not smart) and it is a scary thought that people used to live there and have dreams and now it is being reclaimed by nature. Kind of a reminder of how short life is.

Or even worse in Storm's case... All the things that established that you had lived there are gone, because you were actually never there.
Edited to add omitted word.
