I would play it literally as an issue of ALPHA FLIGHT, coming into a story in progress, and salting the setting with subplots. Plus a cliffhanger ending that might never be resolved. ********
But would you have the resolution already worked out?
•••
Questions like that make me think I shouldn’t do it at all. There are too many who would not accept the thing for the fun little exercise intended. I’d be opening myself to an unending torrent of questions about the elements that were deliberately not revealed.
******
Oh, I didn’t mean to imply I wouldn’t accept it. I was just wondering how your thought processes work when you start to build stories like that.

@JB: I hope you get even 1/10th the joy in the making as I do upon seeing these pages. Follow your muse, ignore the negatives, and know there are plenty of folks like myself that treasure the gifts you are giving without any strings attached. That's true charity!
Thank you!

Please don’t misunderstand - I’m not saying not to do it, just that an unresolved cliffhanger would drive me crazy🤪. Not looking to make a federal case out of anything here…

Where the heck IS High River?••• I based that shirt, seen worn by Heather, on one I’d actually seen out in the real world—but I’m gosh darned if I can remember where I saw it. Couldn’t have been the interweb. Too long ago. In a store? Or was it a custom job? Anyway, it stuck in my mind until I gave it to Heather. I’m sure few of you will be surprised that some of the mail I got interpreted it as an ATTACK on the real town!! (Which is fifty miles south of central Calgary.)

it was one of Heather's favorite shirts. She ended up wearing it twice in your run and once (probably as an homage) in an issue by another artist
By the way, who was your favorite Alpha Flight member to draw?
(the art on the first 13 or so issues where you were inking is some of my favorite art of yours ever)

By the way, who was your favorite Alpha Flight member to draw?••• Since I created all of them, each one had certain elements that played off things I enjoy drawing.

Always enjoyed the way JB drew & wrote the female members of ALPHA FLIGHT.... all very unique personalities and they really helped propel the storylines forward... Snowbird and Aurora were my favorites.

At the time it was being published, I don't recall ever being able to quite settle on whether Puck or Sasquatch was my favorite member of Alpha Flight.

JB, perhaps Charles is also including Heather or Talisman?
And Wallace, I agree! When JB took out Sasquatch, I felt “No! He’s my favorite!” Had it been Puck I probably would have said the same.

Sasquatch was always my favorite, though Mac was a very close second.
