Not from all media sources. There was a rather small paper on the north shore on nassau county that was basically saying he's a con man. no one listened,

Since that’s the case, how could voting for the candidate and not the Party avoid a “debacle”?

Your need to be contrarian has you arguing against yourself.

No, it actually doesn't. I'm sure you also know people that will only vote democrat or republican *because* they're on the party line, and no other reason.  Had either party actually done their homework, they could've also avoided this mess. But it's about the win. If you're interested enough [no small task these days] it's not impossible to attend a public meeting and question politicians as to their intentions.

And it's O'Contrarian for the record.

Your original statement:

John OConnor: “Only speaking for myself, but I don't vote party line - I vote for the candidate, not the party they run under [helps avoid mistakes like the George Santos debacle].”

You still have not clarified your logic.

Presumably, you discovered the “ small paper on the north shore on nassau county” after the election. Again, if the ONLY valid assessment of Santos was an obscure and easily overlooked source then how can you say voting for the candidate instead of the party is a valid method. John O’Connor, you seem to be offering evidence of the horrible way information is dispensed to the public instead of offering a way to mitigate zombie like voting activity. Can you clarity how voting for the candidate avoids debacle?

U.S. Rep. George Santos has been charged with federal criminal offenses. LINK

Great day for those who believe in the law... bad day for the GOP.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law Monday that would bar the state’s colleges and universities from spending money on diversity, equity and inclusion programs, and limit how race can be discussed in many courses.

Seems he's just picking fights with young people. Young VOTERS.

What a dope.

Young voters? In Florida?

DeSantis knows his audience.

DeSantis seems to be doing the traditional politician's dance... first move straight to the base, then (if you get the nom) pivot toward the middle.

Likely this is trickier on such high heels.

Spending much of my youth in cowboy country, I was told those high heels were to help “catch” the stirrups without having to think much about it.

Of course, once they become fashionable, there are other factors involved. Like shortness.
