That's a good point, Matt.
It's almost poetic justice if he is taken down by the most insignificant of offenses.

Listen…I don’t give a shit if Trump is taken down by the bajillion things he’s been accused of doing in either of his elections or he’s taken down by one seemingly small, infinitesimal thing that results in his downfall.  The man just needs to be taken down.

"Manhattan is almost all Democrats..."

Democrats, but not political operatives.  I think for the most part the average person is able to set aside their political views to be an unbiased juror.  If not the judicial system is in big trouble.

Ultimately, I think the 2024 voters are the jury. Regardless of all the investigations, potential litigation and jail time and/or fines, it will be the 2024 election results that hold the potential for comeuppance. Personally, I don’t see the US democracy surviving the four year revenge tour that would define his re-election.if he is re-elected then every bit of any case against him would vanish.

Ex-prez has been found guilty of sexually assaulting E. Jean Carroll.

He is officially a convicted sexual abuser. Hopefully this will speed up the criminal trials against him.

He is not guilty, it was a civil suit, so he was found liable. He has to pay some damages, that's it. I would say and suffer some shame, but we know that's not an issue for him.

Actually that is not the case.  You can only be found guilty in a criminal trial, and what you are referring to is a civil case.  He has been found civilly liable for sexually abusing Ms. Carroll.  I don't see how this would have any impact on his criminal cases, but its another blow to his image for sure.

Probably the best advice given to anyone. If these jurors from the Trump civil lawsuit don't listen, their lives will change forever. For the worse.......

From The Washington Post:

Judge advises jurors not to identify themselves

By

Once the verdict was read, Judge Lewis A. Kaplan reminded the anonymous jurors that they were now free to speak about the case and had the right to identify themselves publicly. But his advice was not to do so.

“My advice to you is not to identify yourself,” Kaplan said, adding that if they do, don’t do it “for a very long time.”

Maybe if he could have been bothered to turn up to court or have a witness in his favour, it might have helped him.

Trump on his "Truth" platform: "I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHO THIS WOMAN IS."

Is he just losing his faculties or did no-one in his legal team brief him? It's the woman that a jury of your peers, based on a preponderance of the evidence, found you liable for sexually assaulting and defaming. It's the woman to whom you owe five million dollars.

What was particularly amusing was that from the get-go he claimed he
couldn’t have assaulted her because she wasn’t his type then saw a photo
of her and thought she was his ex-wife, Marla Maples. So either she WAS
his type or Marla was not…
