The revisions to the Conan cover are baffling. Kirby’s version was dynamic and dramatic but still clean - was there some concern Conan was off-model? If so, I’m not seeing it. Those pencils are simply perfect.

I see that in many books that Kirky was writer/artist, his name was promoted.
I wonder if that was part of his terms in returning to Marvel in the 70s?
