I wrote a letter to him years ago and he sent me an autographed picture just like that.
I'm pretty sure I mentioned the Wolverine connection.

I have a vague idea that that Slap Shot character was based on '70s Philadelphia Flyer 'goon' (although a somewhat talented one) Dave 'The Hammer' Schultz... most penalty minutes in a single season still stands I think?

So... did the Hanson brothers ever inspire any comic characters? I still remember Ed Grimley (Martin Short's character) turning up in Asgard!
