JB, regarding the "you never asked" panel in #139, since you were the full plotter of that issue, and the artwork of that panel with him and Kurt seemed to jibe with the name reveal, so am I correct in assuming that that was your intent, and not something that Claremont threw in? If so, was "you never asked" a suggestion of yours as well? Was I full plotter on that? Id love to see my margin notes!

So would I!!
It certainly makes sense that if anyone's going to know and be free with his real name, it would be Heather. Whoever's idea it was to reveal it to the rest of the team here, it was the exact perfect moment and reason to do so.
(EDIT: Heck, if I really wanted to nitpick, the scene would have played better without Heather uttering that first "Wolverine?!", since she's a civilian and knew the man before he got any code name - would have added even more of an element of surprise because Nightcrawler could have wondered at first "Who's this Logan guy?" - Anyway, since it errs on the side of being unnecessarily wordy, that's probably more likely Chris' fault :) :)
Mac uses it freely in front of Nightcrawler and Shaman later in the same issue, so it's probably safe to assume that the rest of Alpha Flight knew it already.

It dawns on me that I was a member of the UK X-Men fan club, & that may
well be the reason I thought I knew some of these things earlier than I
thought.
While the UK was about a year behind the US, by the time of Dark Phoenix
anyway, my knowledge would be bang up to date due to their Cerebro
fanzine.

I'm thinking whenever the first Snikt! appeared... that was the main finishing touch. Spider-Man had his Thwip!, Nightcrawler his Bamf!, but Wolvie had Snikt!

I got GS X-Men #1 page 6. Tho may have been spelled Snickt a couple of times afterwards. Please fact check that.

So much for that idea... I looked in the facsimile edition of GS X-Men #1 and it's Snikt! I was hoping maybe Iron Fist #15 had the first use of that spelling.
