The Neal Adams Artist’s Edition is not a reprint.

Only the Neal Adams original art that has been previously published in full color at full size would be considered reprinted. IDW is not reusing production elements from an earlier publication. The content selection, page order, editorial matter and production process are all new. This is an original book.

This is strangely ironic. When Marvel announced HIDDEN YEARS there were some who dismissed it as a “reprint”. A classic example of “that word does not mean what you think it does.”

The Adams AE has been pushed back because of the troubles at IDW. Scott Dunbier left the company, and that leaves a few AEs in limbo. I'm told the Adams one is in the can, so it will still come out, but a few others might never see light of day.

Now that would get me to buy an AE. If you're gonna retire, do so with the best pencils of your career.
