Found a thread with some people dissing my idea that Galactus looks different to whoever is doing the looking. Their argument is that Kirby drew him as a giant human, so that’s what he is!

Geez. Don’t they realize Jack drew what he saw?

Loved that idea.
Also goes to the ‘do you see red how I see red’ question I have had for
many, many years

Count me among those who dug - and continues to dig - your idea, JB.

What’s not to like about it?

JB, Your way explains the giant "G".  That right there gives it so much credibility.

It's not like anyone said it meant "Hope".

Eh, screw those detractors. Your idea was elegant and cool, JB. Galactus appears to those he is about to wipe out in their own form, except in size and outfit... that's a nifty idea!

Stephane: Galactus speaks french without a foreign accent.

What a great way to "humanize" it. My imagination immediately went to DUNE where language was played with so well inside the story and now I can't help thinking how cool a GALACTUS/DUNE crossover could be. Destiny vs. DESTINY!

If we extrapolate from my original concept, I suppose we can imagine that Galactus would be heard differently by whoever was listening.

In Paris, he would be heard with ALL the local accents—and tourists would hear whatever belongs to them!

If Galactus had come to New York in the mid-60s, then my wife's grandparents would've heard him speaking... Yiddish

Well, that gives his being hungry a whole other dimension. Es! Es, Galaktus! Du bist tsu din, bubleh. (Eat, eat... you're too thin!)

Like that episode of Star Trek (The Savage Curtain, I think) where everyone believes they are being addressed in their native language.

Lol! I see a skit with John Belushi in a 70's SNL Galactus costume ad Gilda Radner as his mother, urging him to find more planets! Get a herald! Find a girl! Get out of the house!
