Yes -- the ban was lifted a few weeks back.

I still resist them tho, as much as possible.

Man, this reminds me just how much I miss the real Hulk. He hasn't been seen for a long time.

Oh, I don't know.  The current Greg Pak run has been interesting, and to me, harkens back to a better time.  While he may not be the savage, childlike Hulk that I remember from my youth, he's more interesting than he's been in many years.

The fact of the matter is that the character has had virtually no stability (in terms of personality, tone, etc.) in a long time.

That can be said of most characters, I think...

Maybe but Hulk's entire history has been pretty unstable, from his inception.

I think that, aside from the "proving ground" era during the first few years (which mostly focused on changes in the Hulk's look/personality/transformation trigger), the basic concepts and characters remained essentially intact for a pretty long time.

From about 1966-1982 (when the "savage" persona became locked down), very little seemed to change.

Was '82 when the first "Banner personality in the Hulk body" period that
lasted through the Secret Wars and up until JB's Hulkbusters run started?

Yeah, issue #272 started the whole Banner controls the Hulk era, which I enjoyed for the most part, though I really enjoyed the previous three or four years of stories more.
