$300 Lego Daily Bugle

The set suggests more of a glass and steel structure, so  it's not the classic Bugle. But it includes a whole bunch of Spidey's supporting cast, including Aunt May, Betty Brant and Robbie Robinson.

That's a curious selection of supporting characters. Blade? "Bernie the Cab Driver"? Why no Glory Grant?

The incorrect coloring on the eyes on Galactus still annoys me.

Altho it could be worse!!

Ever have days when you feel like you've wasted your whole career?

To paraphrase Eric Morcambe - all the parts are there, but
not necessarily in the correct order.

I took my version of Galactus' eyes from his first story, back in FF 49.

Pretty simple and straightforward, tho even Kirby himself would quickly forget what he had designed.

That panel contains a fragment of dialog that was also quickly forgotten: in the first story it was established that Galactus had visited no inhabited worlds before Earth. Of course, it was also established that he had no qualms about consuming our planet's "life energy" and thus ending all the life here, but Stan also gave us that astonishing declaration, thru the Watcher, that Galactus was NOT evil. That he is BEYOND (or was it ABOVE?) good and evil.

"Have them fight God" indeed!
