So, not by a long shot.

The Shadow looked good, but there was a problem getting Baldwin there. They played it as a physical transformation.

This is why I think it would be cool to see Adrien Brody play the part.

I think Brody would be a good choice, too.

That is a great idea for the Shadow! One of those little tweaks that you let slide because you are so happy to have a reasonable movie.

David Hasslehoff was not a bad Nick Fury. Really.

I remember seeing the transformation and wondering if it just wouldn't have been less trouble to just have Alec play Lamont and hire Stephen Baldwin to play the Shadow.

That Nick Fury film with David Hasselhoff was bizarre. Everyone else spoke in normal tones while Fury growled and barked gruff Lee-Kirby speak that had the rest of the cast all exchanging looks as if they were working for a madman.

I know the costume and tattoos weren't in keeping with the portrayal in he comics, but facially Alan Cumming worked as Nightcrawler.

Agents of T.R.U.M.P. , which is unfortunately not a failed pilot from the 90's.

The WATCHMEN movie was faithful, with Night Owl being my favorite.

I would respectfully disagree and say the Nite Owl costume differs substantially in several areas.

Ignoring the extraneous texturing and armouring, let's look at the key distinctive features of the costume.

Goggles: round in comic; square in movie
Cowl: has a long, loose flap that runs down his back in the comic; not present in movie
Mask: in the comic he has a kind of trefoil opening that runs above the googles and leaves his nose open; in the movie his mask is more like Batman's and comes down all the way beneath his nose, giving him a pointy nose thing.
Cape: enfolds his chest in the comic; entirely behind his back in the movie
Colours: brown and grey in comic; brown and bronze in movie
Belt: pouched, cartridge-style belt with crescent belt buckle centrally placed in comic; single band with crescent off to one side in the movie.

The shape of the googles and the pointy nose thing are reminiscent of Condorman.

Though you are right overall that Watchmen's costumes were by and large faithful, I think they intentionally altered Nite-Owl to make him more like Batman and less like the pot-bellied, owl-headed costume from the comic.
