And a member of "People of Praise" Christian group which, among other things, "are said to be accountable to a same-sex adviser, called a “head” for men and—until recently—a “handmaiden” for women, who gives input on a wide variety of personal decisions.".
This should go well.

Its a shame that if she's appointed, Biden wins, and somehow the Democrats take control of both parts of Congress, they can't just kick her to the curb.
Supreme Court Justices can be removed from the bench. Its actually been done a few times. But they have to have just cause, and I don't believe `The Republicans were hypocritical in appointing her' is just cause.
HOWEVER, they do have to adhere to certain behavior, and that `advisor' could be key; If she's influenced enough by that person in her decision making, they could use that to give her to boot.

There's nothing I can think of that redeems what I'm certain will be some horrific disruptions to our nation's laws.

I'm so glad I live in a country where the appointment of Supreme Court Justices is not so heavily politicised. And where they HAVE to retire at age 70!

As someone who was raised Catholic, I can never understand people who for some reason don't think the Church is superstitious, ludicrous and authoritarian enough, and feel compelled to pile on their own invented absurdities.

Love of both the fetus and the gun seems pretty contradictory. Gun laws don't stop bad guys having them so let's have a law making abortions illegal to stop those? Do they really think these things through? Is Fox and CBN, Christian radio and bookstores etc. there to keep them from basic logic questions at all times?
It sounds like this nominee brings an extreme religion with her in my opinion, quite removed from mainstream Catholicism (I used to read the Christian Century magazine quite a bit and enjoyed it, a Catholic perspective journal), and yet people are being told not to question her on that aspect? Huh? The same people can say Biden is not a 'true' Catholic however?
Separation of Church and State doesn't mean you can't have spiritual beliefs, but it does mean you don't impose them on others, and that seems exactly what this young Coney Barrett is setting out to do just based on past statements. Someone like this should take a longer time to consider and question versus many older judges where we have a track record and who have in essence worked their way up to such a high court position; all that seems out of the window in a rush for young and extreme judges to force judgements upon others for decades to come. >:^(

But what if your spiritual belief IS to impose them on others? That is the very nature of the issue with Evangelicals. A fundamental component of their faith is to "spread the word".

She graduated law school and spent three years as a law clerk. She then taught law at George Washington U for a year before taking a Teaching position at Notre Dame where she was a professor until 2017. She was nominated and appointed to the US court of appeals in the seventh district despite a great deal of opposition.
She has never represented a client in a trial case. She has never argued an opinion before a court. She has served as a judge for just three years. Is there any Justice in the history of the US Supreme Court with less experience?
