This story has me. I love seeing several minds at work on the same
problem and falling victim to their own personalities. This is excellent
writing doing excellent things. We’ve been drawn into this with a natural
gravity, like this always had to happen —and I have no idea how to get
out.

I have a question:
Even though Baby Jean has all of Jean's memories and desires and so on, is she still simply as aspect of the Phoenix? I am very interested in how the direction of the story here is going to be resolved. Is the baby Jean aware that she is the Phoenix or has it been so subsumed by Jeans persona that it truly has become Jean. Is Jean's will THAT strong? It is kind of like that Twilight episode where the kid wishes people to the cornfield as Kitty said, but I'm intrigued if there is going to a Jean vs baby Jean vs Phoenix vs Jean Psi battle. I mean how do you defeat yourself with all your knowledge and memories but with the temperament of a 5 year old?
And seeing as that Baby Jean and the Phoenix appear to have been reformed, will we be seeing Lilandra and the Shi'ar again? I would think she and Xavier have some unresolved issues to....work....out.
Thanks, this is so much fun

If a reasonably good writer is working on this, all your questions should be answered in due time!

Now something you DON’T want to hear.

My self-imposed deadlines are crowding me a bit, so I’m going to “suspend publication” for March. ELSEWHEN will return the first Monday in April, the 4th.

Of course, I’ll be finishing posting the current issue on the usual schedule.

(And no, no, no, this does not mean I’m taking a month off. I’ll be drawing every day, just building in a slightly bigger buffer.)

Just had a "moment"

To my left, as I sit at the drawingboard, there for convenient reference, these three ESSENTIAL volumes.

On top, just now, the volume containing Neal Adams' legendary run. At the bottom, the All New, All Different volume that ends with my arrival. In the middle, the volume covering the bulk of my run.

The "moment"? Thinking back to when I first read those Adams issues, half a century ago, and trying to imagine what I would have said if I could have somehow been shown these three tomes.

*****

If you say so, I believe it, but I just had a mild atrial fibrillation. I'll be fine in a few minutes.

I hope your younger self would have loved your work on Uncanny as much as so many of us loved it!

I think it's just been recommended as to how we are to spend the month away from Elsewhen!

(DEFINITELY getting that collected DU, I used to root for Legend as the right way to do what Image had started!)  < id="protanopia"> < id="deuteranopia"> < id="tritanopia">

•••

That’s what it was supposed to be, but as Jo Duffy put it, it didn’t take long for Legend to become Myth.

Looks like adult Jean is going to have some serious problems coming to terms with her underage doppelganger...
Looking forward to seeing how this turns out!
