Gotta admit, that scene kinda peeved me a bit when I read it as a kid.
Last page of #133: "Cyclops....is dead!"
First page of #134: "Look! Cyclops is alive!"

That bugged me, too. I felt a simple, alarmed cry of "Cyclops!" would have worked in 133. Not so much of a cheat on the readers.

Hey! Looks like I am going to be able to repurpose about a page and a half of abandoned subplot originally intended for issue 19. Yay!It'll require some surgery on the scans, but no big deal!

Is there a reason to perform surgery on the scans vs updating the original art? Just curious.
Also, congrats on repurposing unused pages!

Well, now Cyclops has gone and done it. And after Jean warned him too… ouch…
Jean is looking lovely this page. Nobody does a better Jean.
Child Jean does present an interesting identity problem for original Jean. I mean if she wasn’t childlike and possessed all of Jean’s memories what would really separate them? Both would believe they were the real one. A bit like that Star Trek the Next Generation episode where Riker was duplicated in the transporter.

Try as I might, I just can't find any publications of Danger Unlimited with that [water(ice?)/fire] boy-girl duo that appear in some promos.
I have the original 4 issues of DU, but those two aren't part of the crew from either time period.
I don't recognize them from Triple Helix, Trio, or Next Men -- and I don't think they were somehow transposed from 2112 (?) -- but rather than asking you to break down their characters here, can you please tell me where I can buy copies of whichever trade paperback they're in? Was there a Danger Unlimited part 2 or some other publication that didn't get wide distribution? I hate missing out on whatever that story was/is.
